El Museo de Historia Natural de Londres (Natural History Museum) trata de la Tierra y las diferentes formas de vida que se han originado y evolucionado en ella. Posee una extensa colección compuesta por más de 70 millones de especímenes y objetos relacionados con el mundo natural. El museo fue construido entre 1873 y 1880 para acoger una gran colección de esqueletos, fósiles y plantas que hasta entonces formaba parte del Museo Británico. Nada más entrar en el museo resulta impactante el enorme hall con una cuidada decoración en el que se exponen algunos animales de gran tamaño, como son el esqueleto de un enorme diplodocus y un mastodonte procedente de Chile. El museo está compuesto por diferentes secciones, entre las que merece la pena destacar: dinosaurios, mamíferos, la fuerza interna (sobre terremotos y volcanes).
